Vitamin K2 Complex with K1
InVite® is proud to offer the most potent, safe and effective Vitamin K2 Complex on the market. Vitamin K2 is generally found in fermented foods and is important for bone and brain health, as it activates a series of enzymes that are chaperones for calcium,
supplying calcium directly to the bone and away from blood vessel tissue. Vitamin K1 is an essential nutrient found in cruciferous vegetables and is known as the "plant form" of Vitamin K. Vitamin K helps regulate blood homostatis by influencing both soluble clotting factors (coagulation factors II, VII, IX, X), as well as anticoagulation proteins (proteins C, S, and Z).†
A series of recent clinical studies, however, found that the two natural forms of Vitamin K2 have a profound and important role in supporting the production of healthy bone cells and maintaining vital cardiovascular functions.†
Very little Vitamin K2 is ingested naturally through a normal, American diet. Vitamin K2 shuttled Calcium into the bones. It also helps with the proper absorption of Vitamin D3 supplementation. It helps support kidneys, arteries and bones, assisting the proper distribution of minerals and electrolytes, essential for homeostasis and bone building. Vitamin K2 supplementation is highly recommended by healthcare professionals to ensure your body receives adequate daily levels of Vitamin K2.* There is no current RDA for K2. Research indicates that it takes approximately 100-200mcg of K2 for these effects.†

Product Spotlight: The Importance of Vitamin K
Emerging Science Explains Why Vitamin K is So Important
Matrix GLA is a critical protein found in soft tissues and blood vessel walls. Matrix GLA acts as a natural “calcium shuttle”, preventing calcium from attaching to and hardening cartilage, soft tissues and blood vessels, while simultaneously facilitating normal bone growth and development. Several new studies have found that Vitamin K2 is essential for proper Matrix GLA activity. Research shows that if there are inadequate levels of Vitamin K2 in the body, the Matrix GLA protein will not function effectively enough to protect the arteries.*
Vitamin K2’s Effects on the Cardiovascular System
In addition to the essential role Vitamin K2 plays in stimulating Matrix GLA activity, Vitamin K2 creates three essential proteins – Proteins S, C and Z – that function as effective blood regulators.*
Vitamin K2's Critical Role in Bone Health
All of the bones in your body create Osteocalcin. Osteocalcin is crucial for building strong, healthy bones. Vitamin K2 acts as an essential binding agent on Osteocalcin, assuring that the proper levels of minerals and nutrients fuse to the bones. Additionally, Protein S created by Vitamin K2 is instrumental in building healthy bone cells.
There is no current RDA for K2. Research indicates that it takes approximately 100-200mcg of K2 for these effects.
I am a 67 year old female. Two years ago my Dexa scan showed an 8.7 decrease in bone mineral density of the femoral neck. I then took strontium for 1 year. My most recent Dexa scan showed a 4.7 increase in bone mineral density of the femoral neck. The doctor is asking what am I doing?
