Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 is produced by the body when directly exposed to ultraviolet light. While direct UV exposure stimulates the body to produce Vitamin D3, overexposure to the sun can be harmful and is often linked to skin cancer.
Vitamin D promotes healthy teeth and bones in kids, in additon to calcium absorption, bone mass building, the prevention of bone loss, and protection against muscle weakness. It is important not to confuse Vitamin D3 with Vitamin D2 as Vitamin D2 is much less (up to ten times less) effective in humans than Vitamin D3.
