Researchers at Tokushima Bunri University in Japan reviewed the many studies of Green Tea and cancer occurrence based on Japanese studies of green tea consumption. Mixing Green Tea with chemotherapy can improve the effects of the drugs and is a new strategy for treating cancer. Drinking six-American sized cups of Green Tea each day is an amount that helps prevent cancer. Drinking six American-sized cups each day delays cancer occurrence in women by 7 years. Drinking six-American sized cups each day significantly decreases the reoccurrence of colon polyps (green tea and Green Tea capsules were combined in this study). Green Tea prevented cancer in many studies, prevented recurrence of polyps and helped treat cancer. The study is published in the Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology in August 2012.
