The Science Behind Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)
A review published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that consuming conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) had a positive effect on body composition and metabolism. [1]
Research in Nutrients shows that intake of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) not only benefits body composition, but may also support heart health and cellular health by promoting healthy oxygen levels. In addition, the potential health-supportive effects of CLA supplementation have been reported, including diversity of the gut microbiota. The research has also displayed CLA to act as an antioxidant. [2]
A study published in the International Journal of Obesity showed that supplementation with CLA produced a positive body fat –burning effect. Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a naturally occurring dietary fatty acid, has been found to help support weight management in human and animal models. [3]
