Bilberry Extract, from the bilberry, comes from the same family of fruit as blueberries. Bilberries are loaded with antioxidants that help to combat free radicals that can cause damage to the eyes and overall vision. Bilberry extract may also support healthy circulation in the legs and help with tired, swollen feet.†

The Science Behind Bilberry Extract
Research and a review of several studies done on Bilberry extract published in Molecular Vision depict its benefit for eye and vision health. Bilberry is one of the best known natural sources of anthocyanins. These are the polyphenolic compounds that give bilberry its dark blue/black color and very high antioxidant content. Bilberry is widely used to support night vision and to strengthen capillaries in the eyes.
A study published in The European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences found strong evidence that Bilberry extract may be used as a support for dry eye, which could potentially impact visual function and impair eye function as well as affect quality of life and work
productivity. Bilberry was found to be an effective eye health support.
A Review published in Molecules found strong evidence for the potential support of bilberry against oxidative stress and to support healthy inflammatory processes.
