Derived from the tissues of cold-water, oily fish, Fish Oil is the best known source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. These are considered "essential fatty acids", as your body does not produce them. Fish oils have been shown to support brain health, including mood, memory and cognition and may be beneficial for stress and sleep/wake cycles. Omega-3 fatty acids also play an important role (especially DHA) in brain development in infants and children. Fish Oil has also been shown to support healthy vision, joint health and immunity.†

Guidelines from the federal government and the American Heart Association recommend eating two servings each week of fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, albacore tuna, or sardines in order to obtain omega-3 fats. However, it is important to find clean, wild sources of fish, which is not always possible. This is why many healthcare professionals recommend a clean, toxin-free fish oil supplement that can be taken safely and regularly.†

The Science Behind Fish Oil

Research published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology found that supplementation with fish oil exhibits beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. Fish in the diet (preferably oily fish, 1-2 meals/week) should be considered as part of a healthy diet low in saturated fat. [1]

Research published in Cardiology Review found that supplementing with fish oil supports cardiovascular and artery health. Fish oil’s most potent effect on heart and vascular health may be related to its potential to support healthy inflammatory processes in the body. [2]

Current findings published in Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience reported on the brain health benefits of Omega 3 fats found in fish oil. Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) exhibit neuroprotective properties. Evidence for unique effects of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and more recently docosapentaenoic acid (DPA) is growing. [3]

Research published for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality found significant evidence that supplementing with fish oil greatly supports eye and vision health in humans and animals. The brain and eye are highly enriched with omega-3 fatty acids, which accumulate in these tissues during late fetal and early neonatal life. Very high levels of DHA are present in the retina. [4]

I have tried many fish oil etc, but I do not like the taste so I stopped. Then I tried your fish oil capsules and I have no problem taking them. I know that fish oil is good for my triglycerides and cholesterol levels as well as my skin. I am glad your fish oil does not have an offensive odor and does not repeat on me.

My daughter Zoe was lacking concentration in class and I started to give her Fish Oil from InVite Health. I see the difference in her Math. I recommend it to all mothers and their kids who need extra help.
