Research published in the Plos One Journal shows how catalase affects premature graying of the hair in humans as a result of antioxidant activity hair cells. In this review, it was found that prematurely gray hair is most likely due to oxidative stress that leads to the death of oxidative stress-sensitive melanocytes.
