A study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that short-term supplementation of Montmorency powdered tart cherries (CherryPURE®) during an endurance challenge supported muscle strength, reduced immune and inflammatory stress, better maintained balance, and increased performance in aerobically trained individuals.
