Phosphatidylserine Supplement
Sixty percent (60%) of your brain is made of lipids, or fats. Phosphatidylserine is one of them and is very important for memory and cognitive function. But the brain’s natural level of Phosphatidylserine declines with age. Phosphatidylserine provides support for your brain and memory throughout the aging process. Phosphatidylserine is a protective fatty nutrient, derived from non-GMO soy, that contributes to cell membrane integrity and supports mental energy. It can also offer benefits for focus and concentration in both adults and children.†

The Science Behind Phosphatidylserine
Research from Nutrition Review states that Phosphatidylserine is required for healthy nerve cell membranes and myelin. It is absorbed efficiently in humans, crosses the blood-brain barrier, and safely helps to slow biochemical alterations and structural deterioration in nerve cells. It supports human cognitive functions, including the formation of short-term memory, the consolidation of long-term memory, the ability to create new memories, the ability to retrieve memories, the ability to learn and recall information, the ability to focus attention and concentrate, the ability to reason and solve problems, language skills, and the ability to communicate. It also supports locomotor functions, especially rapid reactions and reflexes. [1]
Research published in Progressive Lipid Resolution states that supplementation with Phosphatidylserine does seem to support and improve short-term memory. This is partly due to the fact that Phosphatidylserine encourages the development of DHA stores in the brain. [2]
A randomized, controlled trial published in Neuronal Nutrition Science involving stress-induced participants found that supplementation with Phosphatidylserine helped to improve cognitive function and helped to calm the neurons in the brain. [3]
