Nucleotide Supplement

Nucleotides are found naturally in fish, poultry, legumes, sprouts and breast milk. They are considered nutritional “building blocks”, providing energy to support and maintain various bodily functions. Nucleotides support body tissues and generate proper energy production, while maintaining your body’s overall immune function.†

For the young and old, Nucleotide Complex may help increase overall vitality and endurance, restore and boost immunity, speed up the rate of recovery after exercise, and protect the liver, skin, muscles, stomach and intestines. Nucleotides have been studied in astronauts, infants and athletes.†

The Science Behind Nucleotides

Research from Acta Pediatrics states that nucleotides help to enhance immune system activities and capabilities in humans. Infants receive nucleotides in human milk, where they are present as nucleic acids, nucleosides, nucleotides and related metabolic products. The nucleotide content of human milk is significantly higher than most cow's milk-based infant formulas. Dietary nucleotides are reported to enhance the gastrointestinal and immune systems of formula-fed infants. Infants fed nucleotide-supplemented versus non-supplemented formulas have a healthier gastrointestinal tract, higher antibody titers and higher natural killer cell activity. [1]

A study published in the International Journal of Sports Nutrition found that supplementation with nucleotides helped with markers of inflammation and immune responses from strenuous exercise. The administration of dietary nucleotides has been demonstrated useful to maintain the immune function in situations of stress and thus could be an appropriate strategy to counteract the decline of the immune function associated with strenuous exercise.
This was evident by the measure of both lymphocyte production and immunoglobulin A in saliva before and after strenuous exercise among participants given a placebo or nucleotide complex. [2]

Research from Stat Pearls explains how nucleotides are vital for producing ATP (energy in our cells). The rate of energy production is called the basal metabolic rate and is affected by nucleotides. This pathway synthesizes nucleotides, synthesis of specific lipids, and the production of energy that is supplied to the entire body. [3]
