InVite® Moistening Body Silk Lotion
Moistening Body Silk Lotion is designed to hydrate and moisturize your skin with a variety of antioxidants, supporting firm skin and protection to defend it from premature aging, fine lines and wrinkles. Body Silk Lotion is enriched with detoxifying seaweeds that shield the skin from environmental pollutants. Moistening Body Silk Lotion is brewed in a base of Japanese Sencha Green Tea, which is why it's so successful at improving the look of the skin, compared to using alcohol as a base, which may damage skin. A melange of moisturizing ingredients are included, like Grape Seed Oil, Mango Seed Butter, and Marine Collagen. Nourishment is the next step with the addition of skin revitalizing vitamins, including Vitamin A, D, and E. Nature takes over with the inclusion of powerful extracts from Sea Fennel, Irish Moss, Kelp, and Spirulina, which are rich in essential oils, amino acids, and a host of skin-protective antioxidants. Made without harmful chemicals that irritate sensitive skin and is non-comedogenic (will not block pores).†

The Science Behind The Ingredients In Moistening Body Silk Lotion
Research published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology states that the antioxidant content of green tea helps to protect skin and acts as an antioxidant to support skin health. Green tea contains flavonoid compounds with phenolic structures. These phytochemicals are highly reactive with other compounds, such as reactive oxygen species to neutralize free radicals or initiate beneficial biological effects. A short list of phenolic phytochemicals with promising properties to benefit human health includes a group of polyphenol compounds, called catechins, found in green tea. This research states that using green tea polyphenols acts as skin-protective, natural healing, and anti-aging agents for human skin. [1]
Research from the Journal of Food Science and Technology states how grape seed extract contributes to the health and protection of the skin in humans. Grape seed extract is a great source of vitamins and fiber. The skin and seeds of grapes are highly rich in Polyphenols specifically proanthocyanidins, which can be used as a functional ingredient to support boosting of the natural bio-processes of the body. Through different and various studies, it was proved that the proanthocyanidin-rich grape seed extract provides benefits such as for inflammation, cardiovascular health, blood pressure maintenance, blood sugar maintenance and immune system function. Research from Antioxidants states that consuming Marine Collagen helps to promote the health of skin in humans. It is a safe cosmetic biomaterial with good moisturizing properties on the skin. The antioxidant properties of Marine Collagen contributes to the health benefits of the skin. The antioxidant capacity of Marine Collagen is mostly due to the presence of hydrophobic amino acids. The amino acid histidine is reported to play an important role in the antioxidant activity. Oral ingestion of Marine Collagen increases the levels of collagen-derived peptides in the blood and improves the skin properties such as elasticity, skin moisture, and skin water loss. Additionally, daily intakes of Marine Collagen protect the skin against UltraViolet Rays from the Sun. [3]
