InVite Health’s Probiotic Hx® formula provides five different strains of healthy bacteria that thrive inside your body and work to fight off unhealthy bacteria. These bacteria are part of the normal microbiome of your bowels. Of the five bacteria strains Probiotic Hx® offers, LactoSpore® has been proven in human clinical trials to colonize and offer a wide range of health benefits for your digestive tract and general health. Probiotic Hx® contains 600 million CFU (0.6 billion) of LactoSpore®, a healthy bacteria strain that colonizes and multiplies into additional flora. Probiotic Hx® supplies four other strains of healthy bacteria as well, with 2 billion CFU of each strain. All of these have shown the ability to improve bloating, flatulence, occasional gastric distress, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation, as well as to sustain and/or restore your overall health. These healthy strains of bacteria are released in the lower gastrointestinal tract while they are alive and active, allowing your body to take advantage of their many health benefits. All strains are proven colonizers, which means they implant into the healthy flora of the intestines and propagate over time. In addition, FOS from chicory root is a soluble fiber prebiotic that helps the bacteria thrive while healing the intestines and improving intestinal function.
Krill oil is extracted from small Antarctic crustaceans similar to shrimps and are the source of several highly nutritional components:
- Anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, similar to those found in fish oil. These contribute nutritional support for the heart, brain and eyes. While Omega 3s are found in the same ratios as fish oil but may be better with Krill oil because there are no fishy burps.
- Known as marine lecithin, krill supplies Lipotropic Phosphatidylcholine and Choline, a fatty B-vitamin, which are required by all cells. Most notably, these components support healthy intestinal mucosa, fat metabolism in the liver, brain health, memory and increased energy. Help to support brain in age related brain conditions. Krill oil absorbability is better because of these highly absorbable phospholipids.
- Astaxanthin is a red pigment carotenoid that provides the color to cooked shrimp and salmon. It helps support the cells, structure and function of the eyes enhancing overall health, repair and visual acuity.
Vitamin D has become one of the most highly recommended dietary supplements over the last few years by healthcare professionals. Vitamin D is not technically an essential vitamin, since the body naturally synthesizes the “sunshine vitamin” through a chemical reaction between the sun’s UV rays and the cholesterol on your skin. Nevertheless, it has been estimated that approximately 70% of North Americans have Vitamin D deficiencies. This is due to a combination of factors: low levels of sunlight for most of the year, obesity, sun avoidance, and low consumption of foods high in Vitamin D such as fatty fish (salmon, tuna, sardines). Inadequate Vitamin D in the body often leads to conditions such as rickets and osteomalacia, which bring on symptoms like bone and muscle pain, enlarged joints, and easily fractured bones. Given the high prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency, this could be the most essential of all the conditionally essential vitamins.
